Important Customer Information: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

Effective Immediately.

As per government and HSE advice, The Gaiety Theatre has postponed affected shows in the interests of the health and welfare of all.

We are continuing to work hard to reschedule dates.

Original tickets purchased remain valid for postponed & rescheduled shows, and no ticket exchange will be necessary for rescheduled dates which will be notified to patrons on confirmation.

We wish to thank all our customers, artists and staff for their continued co-operation and understanding during this unprecedented time.

The following performances are cancelled or rescheduled or postponed:



  • The Lieutenant of Inishmore –  Performances from 12th March 2020 at 7:30pm through to 14th March 2020 at 7:30pm
  • The Mai – Performances from 24th March 2020 through to 28th March 2020
  • An Inspector Calls – Performances from 5th May through to 9th May 2020
  • The Abduction from the Seraglio – Performances from 19th May through to 23rd May 2020
  • Riverdance – Performances from 11th June through to 13th September 2020
  • The Mousetrap – Performances from 14th September 2020 – 19th September 2020.
  • Holy Mary – Performances from 11th May 2020 – 16th May 2020.



  • Circle of Friends – has been rescheduled and will now take place from Wednesday 20th April 2022 to Saturday 14th May 2022.
  • Menopause the Musical 2 – has been rescheduled and will now take place from Tuesday 17th May 2022 to Saturday 21st May 2022.
  • The Gaiety Panto – The Little Mermaid has been rescheduled and will now take place from Sunday 28th November 2021 until Sunday 9th January 2022.
  • Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks has been rescheduled and will now take place from 23rd March 2022 to 27th March 2022.


All purchases made by Phone or Internet for cancelled performances will be refunded automatically by Ticketmaster. Please allow 28 working days for the money to reappear in your account.

Customers for rescheduled or postponed performances will be contacted directly.

We would like to assure you that we are monitoring the coronavirus situation very closely and following advice from the HSE and government. Currently, all performances not listed above are going ahead as scheduled. However, the situation is constantly evolving and we will keep all customers informed of any updates for future performances beyond that date.
