Our Access Policy

Here at the Gaiety, we endeavour to make theatre accessible to everyone. We support equal access and oppose all forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination. Below you will find our access policy, accommodations for patrons with physical limitations and contact information for further help.

The Gaiety is a stunning 150 year old building, that creates an iconic venue for live entertainment, but can be an obstacle in terms of access. Please note that there is no lift at the Gaiety Theatre. Patrons who are unable to climb stairs are advised to book seats in the Parterre, which is our ground floor level.

Please let our Box Office team know if you have any special requirements and we will do our best to facilitate you.

  • A ramp is provided for easy wheelchair access to the theatre and is available through a nearby door at the main entrance of the theatre on South King Street. This entrance leads to the Parterre on the ground level.

Availability of the wheelchair seats differs with every performance. The maximum capacity for those who require a wheelchair seat is four. These are all located in the Parterre level. A complimentary carer seat is provided with each of these seats.

  • Guide, hearing and other working dogs are welcome in all parts of the theatre.
  • An Audio Induction loop is in operation in the venue, the loop hearing system works best on either side of the parterre towards the front (rows A to M)
  • Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on the Parterre level.
  • Carers tickets are available to patrons over the age of 3 who qualify.
  • Accessible parking is available in St. Stephens Green Q-Park
