The Corn Exchange and Dublin Theatre Festival Ireland
“Better pass boldly into that other world, in the full glory of some passion, than fade and wither dismally with age.” The Dead

James Joyce's vivid short stories offer an astonishingly familiar, enduring portrayal of the city – a portal through which the people of Dublin could, as Joyce himself observed, get “one good look at themselves.” Nearly a hundred years since its publication, multi-award winning company The Corn Exchange will be among the first to bring Dubliners to life on stage in this exhilarating new production.

Following their award-winning Dublin By Lamplight, Freefall and Man of Valour, Ireland’s acclaimed ensemble company deftly captures the rich humour, and the dark and tender relationships of Joyce’s iconic stories, performed by a cast of ten in their ground-breaking transformational style.

Dublin Theatre Festival is proud to present this world premiere of The Corn Exchange's adaptation of Dubliners, which promises to be a provocative and startlingly relevant witness to a masterpiece.
